Campus: Online
The master's degree in Health Informatics (MSHI) is an exceptional interdisciplinary program situated at the intersection of healthcare, data, and technology designed for those currently working in healthcare, who have analytical roles outside of healthcare, and who may be looking to change careers.
The fully online program is asynchronous and is ideal for those working full time, having many responsibilities, or who have non-traditional schedules. The 30-credit program (10 three-credit courses) is aligned with the seven foundational domains of applied health informatics and can be completed in as little as five semesters. Each semester, students take one analytics class, taught through the Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems, and one course on health informatics administration, taught through the College of Health Professions. In their 5th semester, students are enrolled in a capstone course and will complete 120 hours of practical experience at a site of their choosing.
You’ll be prepared to work at top institutions in the field, including Memorial Sloan Kettering, NewYork-Presbyterian, Columbia Medical Center, and New York University, as well as major pharmaceutical companies, including Pfizer, Regeneron, and Bayer, or health technology companies such as Twill, Quartet Health, and Noom.
