The Environmental Studies BA/JD program is an accelerated six-year program providing students with a background in environmental studies that will prepare them for a JD degree with a focus on policy, regulation, and application. Students’ three-year undergraduate major courses will be focused on experiential learning and fieldwork, which will help build the foundational knowledge needed to specialize in environmental law. In years four through six, students will join the law program and complete both degrees. This intensive program will prepare students for a wide range of jobs in the legal and environmental fields. Admission into the Environmental Studies BA program does not guarantee admission into Law School. Students must apply to the School of Law early in their sophomore year and, by the end of junior year, must meet all established criteria for admission, including an appropriate score on the LSAT.
