English, Writing, and Rhetoric/Law, BA/JD

This dual degree allows English, Writing, and Rhetoric majors to begin their career trajectories in law while building strong foundations in writing and rhetoric. It offers opportunities to practice writing in multiple forms and develop skills in rhetorical analysis, persuasive communication, and text synthesis, all of which are essential for success in law school and legal careers.

This is a 6-year program of 178 credits. Interested students apply separately to the School of Law and by the end of their junior year meet established criteria for admissions. Accepted students take law school courses (and begin to complete credits towards law school) during their undergraduate senior year.
