This course introduces students to literature written for adolescents (6th to 12th grades). It includes both classics and contemporary examples. Classics explored may include Little Women, The Adventures of Huck Finn and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. More contemporary texts might include Lord of the Flies, Catcher in the Rye, The House on Mango Street, The Summer of My German Soldier, and others.
Prerequisites: ENG 120 and permission of Department Chair.
